Description

If you are new to playing baritone sax, this is an ideal first baritone or for the doubling sax player requiring a bari sax that’s not going to break the bank –  it’s a whole lot of sax for the money!
This 1975 400 comes from the later period in Buesher history, when Selmer USA bought out Conn and continued the production of Buescher saxophones (1963 – 1983). The 400 is considered an intermediate model, but blows very well indeed with a big fruity sound and free blowing low end. Some patches of lacquer damage, but nothing that affects the way this sax plays. Intonation is good and it’s easy to get around, the sax isn’t too heavy and is well balanced. This bari has received a full overhaul from our VSO technician and is good to go for many years to come.
